Organised into five districts each centred on a key sight–the South Bank, the City, Bloomsbury and the West End, Westminster, and Kensington– art/shop/eat London gives ideas for a perfect day in that part of town: the main sights and one or two quirkier ones too; the best places to eat or have a coffee; and some original shopping ideas, presented in an uncluttered and navigable format.

Hello!
I am just back for a few days in London. I have been twice before and was just looking to enjoy a few more attractions that I thought might be fun to revisit. I wouldn’t consider myself a London expert, but I was already well-informed on London attractions. I found your book from a suggestion on an online travel forum, as an alternative to the usual travel guides, which I always find full of useless information.
What I liked most about your guide was the size and format. The size is great since it’s so small and fits everywhere. The format and design are very pretty too, and the writing easy to read.
Another thing I liked (actually loved) were the museum maps. It made it so easy to figure out before hand what I wanted to see and where it was. I still picked up the maps they provided, but I saved time while at the attraction since I had already figured it out earlier. The one from Tower of London was great too.
The history bits throughout the book are fun and refreshing to read. I also liked that there is no \useless\ information (you know, all those things that some guides include for some reason that only help making the book bigger and heavier, while you can find all that information in a few seconds on the Internet).
I have two comments which I thought could improve your book. First, I sometimes found it disappointing that the actual entry charges are not written. That would have been useful to know before hand. Second, I thought that you could have more shop addresses, especially for the main shopping areas. It is overwhelming when you don’t know where to start, so having a few places to visit can make it easier.
There is a mistake concerning opening times: The V & A museum is open 10-10 every Fridays, and not Wednesdays. Also, maybe you should mention the free guided tours the museum offer.

I took the British Galleries Tour and it was marvelous. I wish I had the time to take another one.
So overall, your book has been very enjoyable during my visit and will definitely be back with me on my next visit this summer.
Thank you!
